Our next Haunter's Spotlight is online, featuring a very iconic haunt character. Read more about the actor behind Charlie the Janitor from The Dent Schoolhouse! Tell us a little about yourself - anything you'd like to share. I have acted for 2 years. Year one was at USS Nightmare. Then the pandemic hit and they closed so I wanted to continue my haunt and I went to Dent for year 2. Came out of that season with one external award and one internal award. Really though, I love haunting! What drew you to the haunt industry? When I was 2 my mom took me through haunts and people gave her looks like who would bring a toddler to a haunt. Meanwhile I would just look at the monsters and start clapping and smiling. I guess it is in my blood.

'Our first haunt actor featured as we resume our Haunter's Spotlight is Matt Perry, a multi-character actor from one of our all time favorites - The Haunted Hotel! Tell us a little about yourself - anything you'd like to share. I've been in the business for 11 seasons currently. I have over 10 characters to my name. I worked the introduction scene at Haunted Hotel for 4 years. Currently I am on the "Leadership" team at Hotel. I was also in charge of acting training, stage combat, and line entertainment. What drew you to the haunt industry? When I became "too old to trick or treat" at maybe 10 years old, I spent Halloween scaring kids in my front yard. Whatever candy was left over was mine. After a few years of that, kids began refusing to come near my house. My mom was mad because she wasn't getting trick-or-treaters and told me to go work for a place where I was supposed to do that. So I did. Next up on our Haunter's Spotlight is Twitchy from Face Your Fears Hotel of Terror. Take a look!
Last month Paul and Todd were interviewed by Maximus Bryant on behalf of Haunted Attractions Network and Ohio Haunters Association. We discussed why each winning haunt was awarded.
