New reports are circulating that the third season of Stranger Things has been postponed to summer 2019. Reasons cited include more special effects which take longer to produce as well as on-going "fine-tuning" of the season.

“They [the Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy] understand the stakes are high. They want to deliver something bigger and better than last year,” said Holland. “I think it’s going to be a fantastic season. It will be worth the wait.”
