Check out our Giveaways page for a chance to win 2 tickets to Nightmare on Edgewood or House of Trepidation! This 2020 haunt season has been chaotic to say the least. Our whole schedule has been changing on a whim and I know all these haunts are trying to ride the waves with all this craziness too.
Although it feels like we're running behind for some reason, we still plan on hitting up every haunt we did last year with the exception of those not open this season. That's the plan anyway. Who knows what else 2020 will throw at us. Anyhow 3 new reviews have been posted! Check em out! 1996's "The Craft" modernized the lore of witchcraft and brought it to the masses by telling a story of four high school girls who innocently start dabbling with mystical powers before things get out of control. Their new-found powers turn into a vehicle of payback for those who they feel have wronged them. Based on the trailer below, I've possibly just summarized the "not a reboot" "The Craft: Legacy." It sure looks like the same premise which begs the question, did we really need it? Time will tell. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think. They've battled zombies and aliens - now it's time for ghosts. On October 30th, Truth Seekers, a comedy/horror series starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (along with Malcolm McDowell!) premiers on Amazon Prime. “Truth Seekers is a supernatural comedy series about a team of part-time paranormal investigators who work to uncover and film ghost sightings across the UK, sharing their adventures on an online channel for all to see. However, as they stake out haunted churches, underground bunkers and abandoned hospitals with their array of homemade ghost-detecting gizmos, their supernatural experiences grow more frequent, more terrifying and even deadly, as they begin to uncover a conspiracy that could bring about Armageddon for the entire human race.”
“Fans of the film who want to revisit these twisted stories, as well as new readers discovering them for the first time, are in for a real treat. And, as we embark on new ways to celebrate Halloween with virtual trick or treating and drive through haunted houses, just remember to uphold the old Halloween traditions as well and keep your jack-o’-lanterns burning or you might just find Sam at your front doorstep.” - Robert Napton, Senior Vice President of Legendary Comics Much like an uncountable number of productions, our favorite killer doll's show production has been postponed to 2021. Don Mancini and producers have stated this should not affect the planned release date which was sometime in 2021 on USA Network and Syfy. A canonical part of the original franchise, Chucky will see a vintage Good Guy doll turn up at a suburban yard sale, throwing an idyllic American town into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose its hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies—and allies—from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster. John Carpenter's 1988 cult classic "They Live" continues to live on.
