Welcome to the show...

Our Favorite Nightmare On Edgewood Memories

Paul - The shipping containers at the baseball field
The fog so thick at the last location you could barely see the entrances
Charlie making me insanely uncomfortable after walking out of his daughter's room
Getting held down and butchered in the barn
Being buried alive
Todd - Our first year visiting Nightmare on Edgewood was when it was still on the baseball field. I had been through a fair share of touch haunts in the past, but in a hospital scene, an actor flat out LAID ME OUT on a hospital bed, and I hit my head on one of the side guards. Totally worth the bump. Then there was the time 3-4 years ago, when I was thrown up on the big chopping table to nearly be castrated. Can't say I saw that coming. As far as actors go, they have a LOT of good ones that I recognize year after year, but holy shit man - Charlie. This character, to this day, is still the most intimidating interaction I've ever come across. I mean, I REALLY felt like I was trespassing in his house. My GTFO instinct was kicking in.
I'm REALLY going to miss this haunt but I'm thankful for all the memories and laughs.
Teresa - My favorite will always be the first time we experienced the saw table. It was simply jaw-dropping. We couldn't stop laughing. And the ending this year was quite the surprise!
Emily - I finally got the butcher table!
Entertainment
Paul - What a great time! Edgewood is one of the haunts I really look forward to every year, and this visit didn't disappoint. Scares, laughs, and crazy experiences throughout- It just doesn't get much better than this.
Todd - All the way around, Nightmare on Edgewood is bowing out with a blast. EVERYTHING clicked this year. There is ZERO down time, with the exception of the reset queues as you enter the second and third areas. It was darker, the actors were on point - oh and that ending....definitely never experienced THAT before. IYKYK.
Teresa - The waiting area is like a rave, with awesome animatronics, lighting effects, fog, and wandering queue actors providing an entertaining atmosphere. Plus concessions! The haunt assaults all your senses and will have you screaming, jumping, laughing, and your heart pounding. You'll have an absolutely unforgettable experience. That's what I call entertaining.
Emily - Nightmare on Edgewood succeeds because it doesn't just scare you; it completely consumes you. The relentless intensity successfully breaks down your defenses and delivers the kind of full-spectrum horror experience every thrill-seeker craves.
Scare Factor
Paul - Yet again, a hell of an experience at Edgewood. This haunt just comes at you year after year, scaring the crap out of you, and giving you unmatched experiences in the world of haunts. Even though this may possibly be the last year for Edgewood, there was no sitting back and riding out the same haunt from last year. Always tweaking things, always improving, and always intense.
Todd - Nightmare on Edgewood is a twisty, turning layout so it's hard to see right around the corner sometimes. Only this haunt puts a huge-ass actormatronic where you can't see it AND has it extend into your passing space. Even the props can be full contact! On the contrary, sometimes the scares aren't hidden at all. In a number of rooms, anticipation is fed by letting you see what you'll soon walk into as the group before you is in the midst of it. Whether it be witnessing it through a window, on a video feed or from the second story above, you know you're about to be messed with and there's no avoiding it.
Teresa - Nightmare on Edgewood is terrifying. I jumped so hard so many times. It is a touch haunt, and it's very menacing. The actors get right up in your space and then proceed to manhandle you and toss you around like a sack of potatoes. They do NOT hold back. Each section has a theme that is well-executed and immersive. The scenes are creepy and the effects are so well-placed and unique, you won't know what to expect. You couldn't possibly know what is in store. Except for the parts where you get sneak peeks. The path is structured in such a way that you can sometimes see into the next area you're entering. And instead of taking you out of the experience or removing the surprise, it just gives the characters more time to tease and harass you and for the dread to build and build. I love everything about this place and I couldn't be sorrier that this is its last year. Go see it now! While you still can!

Actors
Paul - The crew was on their game this year. Excellent acting from start to finish, with great dialogue, intensity, aggression, and personality. They weren't afraid to get in your face, make you uncomfortable, or throw you around a bit.
Todd - Not a single "Rawr" actor that I can recall. Every single actor played right into their role or position. In the house, the mother had us on the floor cleaning it with rags. In the factory, some of the crazies follows us through the whole damn thing almost, never relenting (one literally climbed Paul like a jungle gym). The farm...well the farm folk are the least shy. They have ZERO hesitation to pick you up, get in your face, grab you, smell you and describe in numerous ways of how each of your internal and external body parts can benefit them.
Teresa - The actors are over-the-top engaging and so scary. They touch you, threaten you, shove you, carry you, throw you on tables, and so much more. Adrenaline junkies will really enjoy their ghastly and enthusiastic brand of intimidation. One girl picked me up and held my face up to this attacking monster for way longer than I feel like she should have been able to. I'm still in shock.
Emily - The first "feature presentation" we experienced, Unhinged, immediately showcased why the acting here deserves an Oscar... or maybe a severed head. Two performances in this show were absolute standouts. Right before the chaotic encounter with Momma, the actress portraying the latest victim of the house's madness, with her incredibly detailed and terrifying makeup, did an absolutely amazing job. Her commitment to character was chilling, making that brief interaction unforgettable.

Later in the house, the scene inspired by The Exorcist was equally stunning. The actress was perfectly possessed. The way she delivered and utilized the moving furniture and special effects created a moment of genuine, spine-tingling horror. These actors aren't just doing jump scares; they are telling stories through terrifying, believable performances—they truly understood their roles!

Moving into The Factory—the industrial sequel to the madness—the intensity ratchets up again. A shout-out must go to the actress wielding the hammer! She was a masterclass in psychological horror, consistently taunting and torturing victims throughout the whole factory, making it clear that in this movie, there’s no such thing as an easy retirement plan.

Immersion
Paul - Nightmare on Edgewood has immersion locked in like few others. From the pre-show, to the queue, to the three different haunts, to the gift shop- This place is absolutely immersive from start to finish. The set builds are crazy, and the changes from year to year blow me away every time. This year brought a really wild new finale (that I'm pretty sure would be an upcharge at most haunts), and I've never experienced anything like it.
Todd - It's about as good as it gets. Each of the three areas' appearance is entirely unique from the others. Each respective room stays true to its setting while offering a variety of experiences. Take the first section, in the house, for example. You've got your traditional gross out kitchen and then of course the kids bedroom. What you may not expect is that the entire bed and side tables in that room start levitating and shaking violently. Every scene in the factory oozes brutalism as an unrestrained, industrial playground. It would be fitting for a remake of Hostel. Lastly, nothing sets the scene for a farm like an introductory ride in the livestock truck.
Teresa - The thing that makes this so immersive is the attention to detail in the scenes and effects. The theater looks like you're outside an actual theater with ticket booth and marquee, and then you go in and there's a concession stand, and theaters with theater screens. The facades and sets are detailed and designed to draw your gaze in every direction so you can't focus on where the next scare is hiding, unless they *want* you to see it and have time to anticipate what is coming. That is also done quite well. The lighting and sound effects are used to really make you believe what you're seeing and build that sense of doom. It's amazing how a loud heart beat sound can have a visceral effect on you, building tension. Having the touch factor adds a tactile component. There isn't much as immersive as the haunt actors and haunt itself touching you. You just have to experience this place. And you have to do it this year! Go now! It's one of my all-time favorites. Trust me.
Emily - Nightmare on Edgewood isn't just a haunted house; it's a full-throttle horror marathon where you’re the unwilling, terrified star. The entire attraction is brilliantly themed as the Edgewood Cinema, and you don't just buy a ticket—you get forcefully sucked into the screen by its freaky, relentless characters. They then usher you through a series of terrifying "shows," terrorizing you along the way.

The moment you cross the threshold, the immersive experience is profoundly physical. The actors immediately eliminate any personal space, grabbing and maneuvering you through the scenes. This aggressive, interactive style transforms you from an observer into the star of your own feature film, giving a level of chaos and shock that is both overwhelming and incredibly thrilling.

What Makes This Haunt Special
Paul - The feel I get from Edgewood is completely unmatched. There's just something about the dark, foggy, grungy, intensity here that gets me every time. If this is really the last year, there's a piece of me that's going to disappear with it. (Honestly, it's probably still on that butcher table)

Todd - Nightmare on Edgewood has displayed large scale, innovative builds for years now. From start to finish you just see some incredible things. The huge heads at the entrance, the movie marquee (always has been my favorite facade), the two-level builds. Paired with a not-so-timid cast that can grab you? Yes please! I can't believe this will be the last year.

Teresa - They think outside the box. The creativity is incredible. This means you will experience scares here you won't find anywhere else. The touch element is aggressive and intimidating, but not violating. Being memorable and fun are two things they absolutely nail.

Emily -  Don't miss this final cut!
