2024 Review

Entertainment
Paul - You're going to have a great time at Malice Manor. The all-indoor experience (queue included) is an awesome show, and will give you and your friends plenty to talk about!

Teresa - The thing that makes Malice Manor so entertaining is all the surprises. Anything goes so you never know what to expect. And they add new stuff every year. It's a great mix of scary, intimidating, surprising, fear-inducing, traditional, bizarre, and hilarious. You get a little of everything. They've also added to the waiting area, with more places for photo ops and I really appreciate the projected horror movies playing.

Todd - Malice Manor offers a variety of experiences. Sometimes is creepy. Sometimes is intimidating. Sometimes it’s “LOL WTF”. It’s always fun.
Scare Factor
Paul - Such a creepy, jumpy, well-done haunt. There were even a few surprises that got me pretty good!

Teresa - Malice Manor is a touch haunt, so it adds a level of fear when you know the actors can touch you. The sets and props are very creative, so you never know what to expect here. Will you be shocked, spanked, lost in the dark, drowned in bubbles, or made into a permanent resident of the manor? All of these are possible. It will definitely get your adrenaline rushing!

Todd - There were some scenes this year that had changed a little (from my recollection) that really added some extra eeriness. Sometimes small subtle things make for bigger impact.

Actors
Paul - This was one of the best years for the acting crew at the Manor. Full staff with lots of enthusiasm, good dialogue, good costuming and makeup, and just the right amount of interaction.

Teresa - The actors here are interactive and intimidating. They can and will touch you. Some are playful and others want to add you to their collections. My favorite this year was the witch (priestess?) who was chanting some creepy-sounding spell and drawing marks on our foreheads.

Todd - The actors overall did a good job and were energetic. I always test their improv a bit and they did a great job. Some standout actors to me were those positioned in the introduction, the bookcase room, the meat department - and most of all the occult hut (as I refer to it). She did a great job.

Immersion
Paul - Malice Manor seems to grab on to you from the moment you walk inside the front door until the moment you walk out.

Teresa - Malice Manor is filled with the unexpected. There is so much variety and pretty much anything goes. The attention to detail, realistic effects, and actors make it immersive. They tell you their stories and make you a part of them. You go from nightmarish scenes to others out of fever dreams. Where else will you walk down a hallway with mounted butts farting on you?

Todd - There are some really great sets inside Malice Manor that feel authentic (probably because they use real things for props!). Not everything feels consistent with a “manor”, however this haunt is still young compared to many and they have found their footing. The lore has taken a strong hold and I have no doubt we will see development to continue suit.

What Makes This Haunt Special
Paul - While I'm always impressed by the creative sets and great actors in the Manor, it's the overall experience that's special. Easy parking, friendly staff (at least the ones who are supposed to be), a great facility, and more haunt goodness than you could ask for. I always look forward to this one and it never lets me down!

Teresa - Malice Manor stands out to me as a smorgasbord of professional haunt techniques. The sets and effects are fantastic, and there are so many things to see and experience. The actors will touch you, but it isn't too crazy. You may get wet or get stage makeup on you. You just never know! I just know it's ALWAYS so much fun!

Todd - Malice Manor feels like a home away from home. Everyone on staff is incredibly welcoming. I think we are on the verge of seeing some explosive changes or additions soon!
What Can Be Worked On
Paul - Nothing really stood out to me this year. Things were running great!

Teresa - I love it. I think adding more unexpected things and hopefully growing and adding more actors and scenes that just have to be seen and experienced. I enjoy not knowing what to expect. Let the creativity flow!

Todd - Malice Manor started as a haunt without continuity and it was something new and different. Over the years a solidified storyline has been established and continued. Some of the original builds may not fit the storyline as much now so it’ll be interesting to see what changes the future may bring.
In Summary
Paul - Malice Manor is a great haunt and should 100% be on your visit list if you're looking at scary attractions in the Southern Indiana and Louisville areas. Take some friends, take a group- you'll have a fantastic time!

Teresa - Malice Manor is a must-see. It's scary enough for veteran haunt-goers, but not so extreme you're afraid to take younger people. And even though it's scary, there is plenty of humor to break the tension. More than that, there are just so many things to experience!

Todd - Malice Manor is one of those haunts that is clearly made from the passion of haunting, for the love of haunts. It’s really a lifestyle for some and it’s no exception here. This haunt reached a very important and meaningful milestone this year which stakes is place in haunting community.
